The Lowin Data Company
The Lowin Data Company was founded in 2011 in order to research and develop new tools for time series analysis. Today, the company provides analytics, software and support for data-intensive businesses, especially those working with sensor-based or financial time series.
Mr. Lowin is LDC's Chief Scientist as well as the Director of Risk Management for a private investment firm. He received his AM in statistics and AB in economics from Harvard University, and LDC's methodologies have roots in his award-winning thesis on new models for nonparametric dependence structures. Prior to founding LDC, Mr. Lowin oversaw market risk for King Street Capital Management, a global hedge fund based in New York. He has served as Bessemer Venture Partners' Data Scientist in Residence and is a CFA charterholder.
